This three‑halfpence carries the date 1573 above the shield and the mintmark Acorn. Obverse: Crowned bust of Elizabeth I facing left; surrounding legend ELIZABETH D G ANG FR ET HIB REGINA. Mintmark Acorn visible in the legend. Reverse: Quartered royal shield of England and France on long cross fourchée dividing the inscription with date of 1573 above shield.
